Amen, Roddy.

Every time I read your blog, I learn something. Every time I read your blog, my way of thinking is modified. In short, your blog changed me. I owe you a great deal for that.

Throughout the semester, you took my questions, turned them on their heads, and asked better ones. Then, you took a pathway I hadn't expected and all of a sudden, I got educated. Thank you.

You are a creative, intelligent, flexible, and dynamic person and thinker. If you can't tell already, I admire you for what you're capable of both in terms of original thought and artistic creation. Your blog is a great example of what I always wanted blogs to be.

They're personal, academic, original, and creative. You didn't do this for me. You did it for you.

I like your conclusion - "You've the right to define and direct journalism as you see fit." That's a tremendously empowering and hopeful statement. You can bet that I'll be quoting that in the future.

Thanks, Roddy, for taking this class. I know that not all assignments captivated you and got your full attention at all times, but the way you inspired others, helped anyone whenever they had a question about anything, contributed truly unique products, and explored journalism fully is exactly what this class should be about. Your final grade will reflect that.

Thank you,
-McCallum
