I never really believed that someone could die of a broken heart. But the truth is, that after you’ve been with someone for so long, you just can’t possibly live without them. It’s not that you physically die from your heart breaking, it’s that you give up the things that keep you alive. The simple things like eating or taking your medication. Your heart just isn’t in it anymore.

Photojournalism captures moments that we are unable to put into words. Memorable, tragic, happy moments that are captured in an instant and last a lifetime; even after the story’s gone.
This is unexplainable, yet you can see the pain in their faces.
Photos like this that just make you want to crawl into it and help.
It’s those once in a lifetime shots.
The unexpected.
Photojournalists capture what you only hear stories about. They risk their lives, but watch others lose theirs. You get mixed emotions when you look through the photos, wondering ‘how could they just watch this?’ ‘Why aren’t they helping?’
You can have your own opinions, but mine are mixed in some situations. But I do not think that a photograph is more important than someone’s life.

For this blog we needed to pick a name out of a hat and read over their blogs and give them ome feedback. My person is Rian Anderson. From what I got from reading her blogs, she’s indepth and does quite a bit of research. She really backs up what she writes about. She doesn’t have many links, but the way she writes lets you know that she’s done her research.
In Rian’s blogs she lets her personality come out in her writing, unlike in a hoofprint story where you have to be the third man out. She seems most opinionated ‘outbreaks’ and facebook. Looking at her wordle the words she used the most reffered to the swine flu and salmonila outbreak blogs. Rian tries on her blogs, there doesn’t seem to be any BS throughout her work, she does a good job

I got a 59!
Well to tell the truth, I don’t really watch either. The news or the fake news. But, i really do enjoy the fake news better. It’s a lot funnier and even more interesting than the same old boring news. ISn’t it that the ‘fake news’ just makes spoofs off of real news? I think if it gets people’s attention and a different view of a certain news situation, good for them.
this could be real
Little human shoes off his superbrain this is sad but really funny
The fake news puts so much effort into everything they do, there is even fake ads such as the USB toaster…

I think the ’swine flu’ is just a hype. I think that it was just a ‘new’ disease and they (the medics) didn’t want to take any chances so they just blew it way out of proportion so that people would be extra careful. It’s not any more harmful than the ordinary flu virus and has killed much less than the ordinary flu virus.
swine flu hype? just precaution
As this guy says, we’re basically just scared about what this virus could potentially do. All we need to do is wash our hands, as we should do already, and to not stick you fingers in places that they shouldn’t. It’s a hype.

This is a blog about how fricken awesome friday was:)
Fun at school on senior skip day, who woulda thought.
Senior Skip Day Morning: Mom brings me to caribou, and I get a medium white chocolate mocha, and a small for steve because on Thursday he drove me to school because I was standing outside his house and had no choice but to bring me (long story). On the way from Caribou in St. Michael- Albertville, wasn’t even a bit worried about being late to school even after trying to find a new (faster) way around the stupid detour.
At School: Arrived earlier than I thought. Sat around at the breakfast table, just enjoying myself off the natural high of enjoying life….and caffine.
1st Block (today is going to be a good day): Woah why are the lights off in the editors office?….. Oohh:) McCallum has the xbox hooked up to the projector and is playing a ‘mirrors’ game. The bell fianlly rings for the day to start so, we put in rock band! The whole block was just guitars, drums and singing. We even got McCallum to sing (and a few recordings) and Colm, I think, was the most gifted drummer of all time. The block seemed to go on forever, even though we were all having a blast. Rachel was getting a bunch of crap throughout the hour because of her ’swine flu.’ McCallum wouldnt let her sing for a while because he was so afraid of getting it. Haha it was really funny. I love caffine, because it gives me the confidence to do things I probably would never do if I didn’t have any (I sang
)
2nd Block: Wasn’t even worried about this block because I had so much caffine in me and already had a pass signed in case I was late. I ended up getting an A- on a test I thought I had bombed. So that was awesome. I felt really smart after that, so I got a head start on my homework and finished early.
3rd Block (skipped): Got out of Econ. because we weren’t gonna be doind anything anyways. Played some more Rockband and got Kevin to come with me. I got him to sing too! It was amazing, I never knew I had such power… We played rock band some more and McCallum sang Dune Buggy and it was fricken hilarious (I vote that best sang song). I recorded it, but sadly, it didn’t turn out. Kevin and I went down to lunch. Then we went back up for some more gaming. It was awesome. It was almost 4th block, and I still had the pass from 2nd block that I necer used, so I just used it for 4th block.
4th Block: It wasn’t really that bad, I could have been a little later though. I hung out with Grahm while we watched a movie on South Africa.
AAA: Back to McCallums of course lol. This time we played Halo 3 it was fun and I kicked some butt.
I made an amazing discovery: You know how people always ask other people ‘ If they would ever want a super power which would they want?’ Most people say X-Ray vision, because well, it’s X-Ray vision. I thought about that and had an amazing discovery… if you had X-Ray vision you would never be able to sleep, because you would see through your eyelids. So really having X-Ray vision would suck:(

Hmm… well lately I’ve been falling behind in classes, well not really but in this class I have. Whenever I get my grades or a new quarter starts or I think about what classes I need to take for college, and how I need to be in the top 33% of my class I end up workin hard for a couple weeks and really pushing myself to be the best I can. But lately I’ve been really busy and it seems I haven’t been dividing up my time evenly with what I need to be accomplishing. I’m afraid that next year when my class rank really matters and my GPA is going to need to really stand out, whats going to happen. I’ve heard a lot of talk about people who don’t think class rank should even be considered when getting accepted into college, that they should just look at your ACT scores or your GPA, but the people who say those things are the people who are doing best in the catagory that they said.
ACT SAT
rank

Personally, I think it belongs to a long line of people. The people who report it, then write it, who edit it, who publish it, then whos paper/ magazine it goes into, then who it was about. Or maybe who copywrites it. I think it all depends on what you take into consideration. Or, it could be like when you put your personal info on facbook or myspace how it becomes myspace’s or facebook’s property to do what with it they want to.
who owns it?
Cora’s blog is really good and explains what she thinks really well… here it is…. READ IT

I know that i should be writing my own thoughts inot this discussion, but i feel that i should write about something else. Suicide. I know this is a touchy subject and everyone has their own opinions; like abortion, everyone has their own opinions and usually stand strong behind them.
When someone commits suicide, I wonder if they think about how it will affect the people around them. How it may destroy things like family and friends and relationships around them. I wonder if they regret it as soon as they do it , or during their last seconds fi they have those thoughts like, ‘why am i doing this,’ or ’ i don’t want to die yet.’ I personally have never had even the thought of suicide cross my mind, and don’t understand how something could be so bad that you need to torture yourself or even take your own life and make your friends and family go through basically what you would be killing yourself over. Suicide is the most selfish act you can do. It’s a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
